OFFICE BUILDING/HISTOLOGY LAB
Office & Lab Bldg.

This laboratory, managed by Dr. Steve Mims, contains equipment for quantifying phytoplankton, zooplankton, water quality and contaminants being studied for reservoir ranching of paddlefish in Kentucky. Housed in this lab are a BBE Algae Analyzer for identification, quantification and analysis of algae sampled from fish production study areas, a Hach DRE 2700 for water quality analyses and a DMA Mercury Analyzer to measure mercury concentrations in fish tissues and water samples. 
Histology Lab.
 The laboratory is also fully equipped for histological analysis of fish gonads and other tissues, and classroom and research projects. It contains a LX Tissue Processor, Leica Histo- Embedder and a HMS Series slide stainer for development of histological slides.  Along with this equipment, all necessary microscopes, slides and solutions are available to perform the necessary functions.
