The microcosm tank facility is designed to simulate pond conditions and is used to evaluate variables preliminary to pond trails It consist of 24 (30,280 liter) outdoor tanks that use inflow reservoir water and ambient temperature. These tanks are used for production, nutrition and reproductive research.
